John O'Connor & Associates is an independent environmental engineering consultancy specialising in flood risk, contaminated land and environmental impact assessment.

The practise is based near Leeds, West Yorkshire, UK and was established in 2002 by John O’Connor who has over 20 years experience in civil and environmental engineering. Environmental regulations and planning policies require planning applicants to submit information on the condition of the land in terms of environmental pollution and on the risk of flooding.  Contaminated land and flood risk are material planning issues and increasingly, planning applications will not be processed unless sufficient information is provided with the planning application to allow the planning authority to make an informed decision on whether or not permission should be granted.

We provide high quality advice to planning applicants and their professional advisors on flood risk and contaminated land issues.  We also prepare environmental statements in accordance with the Town and Country Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations.
